The Kaleidoscope project aims to collect autobiographies from young Jews in Europe, showing their engagement in and with Jewish life, through their own written words and visual illustrations. With this range of authentic experiences, the Rothschild Foundation Hanadiv Europe hopes to create a record of the diverse, reflective, and collective experience of young Jews from across Europe in the first half of the twenty-first century.

Kaleidoscope autobiographies will provide a historic record and might serve as a primary source for future academic research.

Entries to Kaleidoscope are invited from people who fulfil the following 3 criteria:

• Identify as Jewish
• Live in Europe
• Are between 17 and 24 years old

Entries should be in the form of a written story of between 750 and 7500 words. The stories can be accompanied by visual representations which could be provided in any media.

The deadlines for submitting stories are:

First round - 31 December 2023

Second round - 31 March 2024

Third round - 30 June 2024

Fourth round - 31 December 2024
